This past weekend, a beautiful Saturday evening in December, we partnered with Marco Foster’s #MFGrinch event at Parliament Chicago, to help raise money and awareness for the Brain Injury Association of Illinois.
This is Marco Foster’s fifth annual #MFGrinch holiday event, with a unique “Whoville” theme, from everyone’s favorite Dr. Seuss book, The Grinch.
People came dressed to the nines, or dressed as whimsical Whos; including a guest appearance from The Grinch herself – Lora Michael! It was certainly a fun and magical time – with proceeds benefitting a charity near and dear to the hearts of attendees.
The Brain Injury Association of Illinois serves its members who are personally affected with brain injuries by providing support, information and advocacy. Marco Foster, the host of The Grinch event, has a special place in his heart for the Brain Injury Association of IL, as he too was affected by a brain tumor only five years ago.
Mevato had digital signage up all over Parliament that guests could easily post to using the hashtag #MFGrinch. Attendees had a lot of fun sharing their personal pics during the event, telling their social media followers how much fun they were having.
Marco Foster and Parliament received a hefty upsurge in social engagement as a result. Not only did they get interaction from the guests at the event, but their fans and followers responded to and shared their fun filled photos for additional reach. Everyone likes seeing themselves featured on the big screen, especially if they’re dressed to impress (fancy or themed, in this case). Guests used the hashtag, #MFGrinch, to appear on Mevato’s digital signage, and in turn the venue’s social presence increased tremendously.
